On March 1st 2022, Stellaris Group, owner and operator of 59 Carl’s Jrs in the Western region of the country, added 10 more Carl’s Jr. units in South Utah to its portfolio, successfully acquiring almost the entirety of the franchise in all sections of the state. The fast-growing restaurant portfolio of this company, founded by Ahmad Moalej in 2021 as a result of more than 25 years of experience in the restaurant business, expands from 59 Carl’s Jr. units to a total of 69 units in the states of Utah, Idaho and California.
With the purchase of these stores, located in the South section of Utah, Stellaris Group became the owner of almost all Carl’s Jr. units in the state, allowing the company to have a lot more leverage with the local media companies for marketing among other benefits.
All stores are updated buildings that have privileged locations: freeway stores, local community restaurants, a few of them next to college universities and college campuses; whose previous owner would only sell to a company with good track record, good relationship with corporate as well as with employees. With the added advantage of counting with very good district managers as well as great crews already running all units.
As the next step, Mr. Moalej plans to focus on the exterior remodels of these stores, followed by interior remodels with an emphasis on marketing. This represents a natural upgrade for Stellaris, as its leadership plans to continue growing throughout Utah, Idaho and Wyoming in the coming year.
